Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is the manual treatment of joints and soft tissues including joint mobilisations and manipulations. The main techniques included in manual therapy are: trigger point therapy, myofascial release techniques, stretching, joint mobilisation and massage.

Is its efficacy scientifically proven?
Yes, manual therapy reduces pain and soft tissue swelling, improves joint range of motion as well as blood and lymphatic flow through mechanical and neurophysiological changes in the body (Goff, 2009) (Haussler, 2009).

Manual therapy is useful both preventively to minimise the risk of developing future injuries and therapeutically by reducing pain, increasing range of motion, improving proprioception, balance and flexibility.
